I almost didn’t write this newsletter. But then I thought, why break 17 weeks of consistency now? That’s the thing about habits right, once you really take the time and care to build them, they become second nature. A few years ago I ‘trained’ myself to drink almost double of the amount of water I was used to because it clearly wasn’t enough. It works. Now I’m a stickler for staying hydrated and since seeing that success, I’ve tried to build other habits in the same way.
This week has been quite of a journey. I haven’t been sleeping as great, and trying to be a girl boss with a twitching eye really isn’t glamorous. However, some consistent efforts have paid off. I started content coaching with an ambitious young creator… who has taught me a lot. The result? Over 100,000 views on a single reel after just 3 weeks of refining my content. It was an investment well worth making. I’m very grateful for the role content creation has played in my life so far.
What I’ve learned 👇🏼
Invest in your relationships. I was having a clear out of my iCloud photos and came across old pictures of friends and family and had a scroll through to see when the last time I spoke to those people were. Sometime we take the ease of instant messaging for granted. When you grow older, time goes by quicker than you think and finding time together as adults becomes more of a mission than a natural catch up.
Routine can keep you grounded when you feel down. Today I was pretty happy about my dedicated day of freelance work because it kept me busy. Sometimes a solid routine isn’t so bad.

🍗 content nuggets
Honestly, I’ve been on the sofa binging episodes of Young Sheldon this past week. This fun little family comedy has a lot of quirks and life lessons rooted in each story. I’ve never really been a fan of The Big Bang Theory but who can ignore a smart little man trying to navigate his childhood. I’d highly recommend as one of those feel-good shows to put on in the background.
Speaking of other TV shows, here’s a list of my favourites:
How I Met Your Mother
LOST
Kim’s Convenience
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Dragon’s Den
Boy Meets World
Bosch
Below is a video I came across the other night which was quite a relaxing watch. This guy filmed his moving experience across New York and it was edited well with a very simple storyline. I liked the relatability of his adventure.
🔥 on the back burner
I’m sure most of you have crits coming up or just want some help with presentation skills, so in my latest video, I break down exactly how to plan your next crit and present your work.
Speaking of crits, I’m working on a handbook to help architecture students feel prepared for crits and stay on top of their work. I’d love to get your input for this handbook so just reply to this email if you’re able to help out!
