feeling pumped!!

🍎 food for thought

hello! I skipped a week (not that anyone noticed) but I was having one of those major life moments where I was deeply thinking about what I want to do next. My time freelancing in the creator economy and trying my hand at social media content managing is coming to a close and I’ve learnt plenty. I’m a big believer in trying everything, especially if it helps you gain new skills because you never know where something can lead you. I’ve already started implementing the things I’ve learnt freelancing and getting serious about creating content online. It’s also the best way to get rid of indecisiveness. Try it, and if you don’t feel like it’s something you can see yourself doing, that’s okay. It makes you one step closer to what you want to do.

Whenever September rolls around, I find myself thinking about how this year has been. Being a student for a huge part of my life and starting :scale during this month makes me naturally re-evaluate the year. This month will be four years since I started my blog and it’s given me so many opportunities and opened so many doors that I want to find a way for it to be more than just a side hustle or hobby. The platform took a backseat when I was studying my Masters but I really feel now is my chance to turn up the dial 🔥

What I’ve learned 👇🏼

  • I recently saw a post that mentioned manifestation. I have my own personal views on the idea, but it made me think of a vision board I created back in 2020 which didn’t last very long because it was kind of an eyesore. But surprisingly enough, I’ve managed to achieve the standout goals I put on there. Big win 🥅

  • Motivation isn’t real. It’s all about getting it in front of your eyes, reducing friction, and doing the thing. I started my gym journey over a year ago and haven’t seen results. To be honest, my consistency was way off and I wasn’t taking it seriously. Now, I’ve put it as a to-do in my task list; if I don’t, it gets rescheduled to the day after. Now I’ve gone for an entire week.

  • The great thing about freelancing within a company is that it brings some structure. Now I have mixed feelings about the 9-5 but lately, on my short lunch break, I go and sit in the garden and the sun. It makes all the difference. I’m hoping that once I complete the last step of my desk transformation, I’ll feel more inclined to stick to a routine.

🍗 content nuggets

The past few weeks I’ve been enjoying content that has chill vibes. One day I want to be able to make such content without feeling guilty I’m not providing value 👀. Here are a few of my favourites:

🦋 casual magic

The other weekend we had some family friends over for a little get-together. It was actually pretty wholesome despite feeling absolutely exhausted by the end of the night. It was good food and good vibes 😇

🔥 on the back burner

I’ve just released a design project workbook for all of you going back to architecture school this month!! I want to start creating more downloadables and resources so if you have an idea of what you might need, just hit reply 💌

The workbook can be used as a guiding template for weekly tutorials, planning your portfolio pages and outlining models. There are also prompts and questions to help you stay razor-focused with the tasks and outcomes on hand.
